The Camino de Santiago pilgrimage trail brings together pilgrims of all ages from over 150 different countries. The reasons pilgrims walk or bike the Camino are as diverse as the pilgrims themselves, yet there is a common theme: about 90% of pilgrims report walking the Camino for spiritual reasons. Once they finally arrive in Santiago de Compostela, many are ready to enjoy a warm welcome, meet up with the friends they met along the way, and reflect on their pilgrimage.
Our team is here in Santiago de Compostela. We opened the Pilgrim House Welcome Center in 2014, and through Pilgrim
Pilgrim House provides a place of respite and recovery while pilgrims begin the process of returning home. We offer opportunities for reflective meditation, prayer, and conversation, as well as quiet spaces where pilgrims can take some time to journal and read. Pilgrims can also take advantage of our printing, laundry, and bag check services.
We believe that travel (especially in the form of a pilgrimage) is a valuable way to engage the heart and soul. At the Pilgrim House Welcome Center, pilgrims have space and time to tell their stories, ask questions, and reflect in a welcoming environment.

INTEGRATED COMMUNITY TRANSFORMATION
When we enter a community, we seek to relate to and understand the community through the eyes of Jesus. This includes pre-training and ongoing on-field research.
EVALUATE and ENGAGE
We repeat a collaborative cycle that aims to work alongside others in the community to identify and assess both needs and resources. Alongside the community, we encourage initiatives guided by a strategy and help implement them.
As transformation takes hold in a community our role changes. We avoid creating unhealthy dependencies and focus on what Jesus is doing within the community. This typically leads to expansion as transformation impacts surrounding communities.
