France - Paris (The Village)
We are developing a community of Parisians dedicated to helping children and young people at risk of being marginalized from society. This community allows people to belong based on their common desire to help young people in need, and thus provides an opportunity for some who might never come into a church to experience the love and power of the Gospel in action.
The Village seeks to develop dynamic social action for children and young people, and to offer pertinent personal development and care to its participants and volunteers from both inside and outside the faith. In particular, we want to stress the importance of seeing the value of our neighbors as the same as our own as the key to reconciliation and the key to the shalom of our neighborhood.
In short, we are following Jesus and inviting others to walk with us, allowing them to taste what that means in authentic relationship.

INTEGRATED COMMUNITY TRANSFORMATION
When we enter a community, we seek to relate to and understand the community through the eyes of Jesus. This includes pre-training and ongoing on-field research.
EVALUATE and ENGAGE
We repeat a collaborative cycle that aims to work alongside others in the community to identify and assess both needs and resources. Alongside the community, we encourage initiatives guided by a strategy and help implement them.
As transformation takes hold in a community our role changes. We avoid creating unhealthy dependencies and focus on what Jesus is doing within the community. This typically leads to expansion as transformation impacts surrounding communities.

Children's English Language Group Coordinator
Kids in the neighborhood are often at a disadvantage in school. We want them to have an excellent head start in English. We want to offer a fun, activity- and game-based English emersion style group for children ages 6 - 10.
If you know how to organize activities so that kids start speaking and feeling comfortable with the language, you can help us get started.
