France - Grenoble
The student center known as the FEU (Foyer évangélique universitaire . . . or evangelical student center) welcomes scores of university students each week. Students who follow Jesus invite friends to discover: first, the center through events such as game nights and theme nights, weekend getaways, French and English groups, concerts and ethnic gatherings; and second, faith in Jesus through Bible studies, discovery groups, prayer meetings (yes, non-believers sometimes come to prayer meetings!), one-on-one Bible-reading relationships, and bridge events into the local churches with whom we partner.
Our bi-monthly food distribution draws students from all over the world who are struggling to make ends meet as they pursue their studies at the university.
Our Chinese group provides a place of welcome and friendship for a segment of the student population that tends to struggle with integration in the French university environment.
Our short-term summer trips expose our students to the global work of the gospel and to the diverse ways in which God is rescuing and drawing people and families and communities to Himself in Christ around the world.

INTEGRATED COMMUNITY TRANSFORMATION
When we enter a community, we seek to relate to and understand the community through the eyes of Jesus. This includes pre-training and ongoing on-field research.
EVALUATE and ENGAGE
We repeat a collaborative cycle that aims to work alongside others in the community to identify and assess both needs and resources. Alongside the community, we encourage initiatives guided by a strategy and help implement them.
As transformation takes hold in a community our role changes. We avoid creating unhealthy dependencies and focus on what Jesus is doing within the community. This typically leads to expansion as transformation impacts surrounding communities.
