Our vision is to see the Bhutanese-Nepali community of Carrick transformed by Jesus and multiplied to Nepal and other Mid-Atlantic US cities with Nepali populations. The biggest obstacle to this vision is lack of qualified workers. We believe that one of the best paths forward is to launch an internship program that combines urban contextual issues, good mission and theological practice, and the development of robust integrated community transformation strategy for interns.
The internship will be a 6 month residential program where students study in the classroom while involving themselves in practical ministry in the Nepali community. Topics relative to this practical ministry will be covered.
Upon completion of the program, students will be encouraged to become full-time staff of our team or begin ICT work in other US cities or Nepal. This mobilization of workers will increase our capacity to host short-term teams, do broader scale ministry, as well as equip leaders to begin ICT ministry locally and internationally.
