Educational Field Trips for Refugees and Immigrants Children
Although the schools in our neighborhood go above and beyond to serve the kids who live here, they are under-resourced, meaning they can't offer our students field trips to the zoo or museums. By giving to this project, you are giving refugee and immigrant children the opportunity to both learn and have fun! These trips are intentionally designed to help strengthen the family unit through parent involvement and help kids build relationships with both adults and children of their own and different cultural backgrounds. Many students have said that one of these field trips have been among the best days of their lives!
Field Trips in this project include to the zoo, the children's museum and two overnight trips to the Oregon Coast, one for boys and one for girls.
