Portable X-Ray for Radvanka Polyclinic
Radvanka is the poorest region of Uzhgorod that contains three Roma camps with a combined population of 4500. In addition Radvanka has an additional 7500 residents evenly distributed among Roma, Slavic, and Hungarian ethnic groups. Only one polyclinic serves this region. Among the Roma in the camps, 80% of them suffer from tuberculosis or similar diseases. The polyclinic lacks an x-ray machine for necessary early diagnosis to combat this problem. Because most Roma will not enter the State Polyclinic, the polyclinic wants a portable machine they can bring to the camp.
